Storytime @ the Library. We attend this once a week. This video was taken on Hari Raya Haji, and at the same time it was Costume Day at the Library.

As requested, Abah teached Feyruz to dance like Gangnam Style. His dancing moves improved much more since this video was taken.

Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy

Since last summer, Feyruz has a sleeping problem. He would wake up in the middle of the night no matter what. Sometimes he cried, sometimes he scratched, and sometimes he just walked to our bedroom. At that time, he also had seasonal allergy – watery eyes, stuffy nose and frequent sneezing. So we thought that the
allergy was the culprit that he couldn’t sleep at night. He also had a few asthma attack episodes, and one time Amin had to rush him to the ER.

We went to see his doctor a few times when he was very miserable. Every time the doctor told us that he had a sore throat. And that was why he had all the mucus in his nose and throat. It took 3 weeks to get him better after taking the medicines. But a few weeks later, he throat hurt again.

Then came Fall and now Winter, and supposedly no more allergy problems. But Feyruz’ condition got worse. Now he woke up almost every hour after midnight. He just couldn’t sleep, and he snored very loudly. We can hear him snoring from behind close door.

After 6 months of miserable nights for all of us, 3 times he had sore throat, one time he got a high fever; we decided to go for a surgery to remove his tonsil and adenoid. It’s going to be a painful one, and I’m pretty sure he’s going to be really mad after the surgery.

Please make a doa that Feyruz will have a speedy recovery, and hopefully this will solve his sleeping problem.

BBQ chicken for dinner. This is going to be the last few chickens before the surgery. After that he’s just going to eat popsicles.

My Little Fayyad is Growing UP

This plastic snow slide is very handy. Keep Fayyad from rolling rolling around the living room.

His third tooth showed up yesterday. Been crying while sleeping at night for a while now, and this is what came out.

Ever since he learnt to sing ABC, Feyruz loves to read books again. He spells the words and pretends he’s reading. During the storytime at the library, I could see him paying more attention to Ms Melissa.

Feyruz spelled the title of the song ‘IKAN KEKEK’. Felt like he’s doing a spelling bee LOL

Fayyad Sitting Up

All by himself! He can sit up straight for more than a few minutes now before he goes wobbly

This morning looking at Feyruz book of animals. Ni dah mula nak berebut2 buku dah. Sikit lagi entah2 mula la nak bergaduh nanti.

Fayyad is currently 17+ lbs and Feyruz is almost 25 lbs.

Fayyad’s First Breakfast

His bottom 2 teeth came out 2 days ago. He’s almost 7 months now and I think he’s ready for some cereal.

This morning tried to feed him. Mix some milk with oatmeal cereal. Bukak mulut Fayyad “Aaaa..” well, he refused to try some. Just playing around with the cereal.


Ok now Abah gave it a try (with Feyruz’s help).

Sedey kena paksa makan huhu.. tomorrow we’ll try again k Fayyad.

Fall Festival

There are a lot of festivals held this month around KC. I’m not exactly sure why when Fall comes, it is kinda a celebration around here every weekends. We went to a couple of kids’ friendly event, turned out Feyruz had so much fun.

Feyruz was initially confused by this! He couldn’t figure out where Abah was, or how to get to Abah. Took a while for Abah to explain to Feyruz about the maze. When he finally saw the maze as a puzzle, he got excited to find the way in and out. Cool!

Feyruz first pony ride. He was so excited to see the pony that he wanted to ride on it. All by himself. Kinda surprise me how brave he was.
